Book your salmon trip with Central Coast Kayakfishing
The salmon bite off Moss Landing is starting to heat up. Most of the boats coming into the Moss launchramp reported limits or near limits today, with the majority of fish being caught within 3 miles of the harbor. These are a nice grade of fish, averaging 10-15 lbs. I have a feeling its only a matter of days before it busts wide open. The raging northwest wind that came through this weekend pushed the warmer water (58C) out, allowing the cooler nutrient rich water to come out of the deep. I was out on Sunday: the bait balls are starting to form, and the water is turning that murky green color, all setting the stage for a wide open salmon bite.
I'll be offering guided trips for salmon throughout the season. Group rates also available. Call or email to book a trip asap as my dates are gonna fill up pretty quickly.
