Just thought I let everyone know there is a sale on sixgill spinning reel.
http://sixgillfishing.com/Sale/
I couldn't resist the discount, 39.99 from 129.99 is a hell of bargain. Its also salt water rated and has over 36 lbs of drag!!
They also have surf rod for 60 dollars that is originally 180.

Pretty nice reel there.
Thanks for the heads up Jon.

You can't have enough spinning reels. Specially since my %@$#ing Penn SSV breaks once a week

Does look nice but got a really nice surf set up a couple years ago, think it's only been out once and can't seem to figure out when it's beneficial to use a spinning reel on a kayak. Must be a freshwater or tropical thing.

i don't need anymore either lol I got it cause it was a deal. If I saw the rod sooner, I would have ordered it as well but it was too late to add to my cart to save on shipping.
I read it was a good reel so I'm dedicating it for salt water only or big fish since it has 36 lbs of drag!

I dont know much about fishing reel brands but Im looking to buy a couple reels. How does this compare to Kast King? There is a similarly priced Kast King reel on Amazon Prime.
https://www.amazon.com/KastKing-Sharky-Baitfeeder-III-3000/dp/B0746H98R6/ref=sr_1_26_sspa?s=sporting-goods&ie=UTF8&qid=1508388135&sr=1-26-spons&keywords=salmon+rod&psc=1
Thanks,
David

I've never used these so I couldn't tell you... but a buddy of mine has that sharky III baitfeeder and it's hard to beat for the price! Super smooth. I'm going to pick one up at some point for drifting live bait

I got excited about that and almost bought one but what do you do with 36# of drag on a small reel that holds 10-16# line? :smt044 :smt044
But regardless, not a bad price for a saltwater reel.

got my reel last week and construction on it is great. Its smooth as butter. A little on the heavy side but can't wait to spool it up and use it :smt006

I will say it's one of the smoothest reels I've ever used, the thing is much better then I could of hoped for. I also ended up with the surf rod. Gonna try to test it out on my thanksgiving trip down to monterey.

I picked up 2 of the 2000 series. Wish I got one of each but the 3000 was out of stock. Very smooth and solid construction!
