My wife and I want to go car camping next weekend & are looking for a mellow camping site without big camping vans, loud music, partying kids, etc. & preferably where the camp sites are not stacked on top of one another.  I of course would also like to fish but new to Kayak fishing want to keep it in inland waters.  I was thinking maybe Lake Sonoma but have never been there.  Any suggestions preferably within 2 hours of SF?

Thanks

Paul

General Talk / Newby questions

Hi new to this board and kayak fishing in general though have fished from canoes, drift boats, etc.  I have a question on launch sites.  My closest put in is Candlestick point as I live in the southern part of the city - is there a decent ramp there - or is it just best to go where the windsurfers go (I used to windsurf in my younger days) and have launched a board from there.  Also for Paradise - is the best launch site at the marina (do they charge or is there a better spot?)  I've fished over there from a larger boat but never from a yak.   Looking forward to seeing you all out there!  Thanks Paul
