I got a new born at the house and money is tight. but still not right to ask for free when you paid $110 for it.  I couldn't sleep at night...  I'll take it for asking price.

i had a closed cell first, i would get cold pretty quick, then i switched to the mako and love it, last dive the water temp was 46 and i was warm, (this is comming from a kid who turned blue in hawaii). i'm about 5"9 5"10 and 160ish, the mako farmer john fits nice and there is a tiny bit of room when i put on the jacket, but it hasn't been an issue, hope this helps

What size did you get? I'm about the same size and weight  as you and also was thinking about getting a mako open cell.

General Fishing Tips / Re: POINT ARENA PIER
« on: May 29, 2012, 03:33:48 PM »
i normally don't fish in that area. but i do a lot of diving there. i've seen people launch their kayak on the beach right next to the pier. also seen guys coming back with stringers full of rockcods. i normally just shoot them when i'm there.  :smt003 as for fishing on the pier, make sure you bring extra weights.... my buddy fished on the pier when i was diving and he got snaged and lost his rigs several times. he did go home with a greenling and a nice fat rubber lip pech tho. good luck to you!

General Talk / Re: Fishing on Jet Ski.

Hi Yakers:
It's a good idea but, Man Pwr. impresses me most of all.
I enjoy using the Wind, Currents and a Paddle to Fishing. I hate the
Noise and Gas smell plus, I'm really Cheap! :smt005
Pwr. Boats are great if all you want to do is Fish and,
 it's too far to Paddle.
                                                                             Regards
                                                                             Ernie

Just changing the pace(speed)  to keep it interesting.   :smt044

I have a 3 seater Yamaha also. I use it only 3 times a year at the lakes.  Maybe this way I can get my moneys worth out of them! Keep us posted on the CG side. It'll be fun to give that a try.

General Fishing Tips / tips on fishing at Lake Don Pedro?
« on: May 23, 2012, 10:34:42 AM »
My friends and I are camping at Lake Don Pedro this weekend.  We're staying at flemming meadows camp site. I had luck fishing at night off the shores for cat fish the past years. I'm going to bring my revo this trip n hopefully try for some bass or whatever they have there that I could target. Does anyone has any tips on where to go, what to fish for, baits or lures?
Thanks
Phong
