The State Park is the place to camp for sure. Lake Mendocino is also not too far away. A launch close to great fishing is Rodman Slough at the northwest corner of the lake. The county park is also good and there is even a launch in downtown Lakeport. Fishing in Clear lake is world-class but consult DF&G for eating guidelines. Be aware that Clear Lake is very shallow and wind sometimes creates amazingly high surf. Good luck!
