For Sale / 2021 custom made Teardrop
« on: September 14, 2023, 02:13:28 PM »

Selling my custom built offroad teardrop trailer. I built this in 2021 to be pulled behind a jeep wrangler. I used the same bolt pattern and 31" tires in order to carry the same spare tire as the jeep. It weighs 1400lbs loaded and has electric brakes so able to be pulled by almost any tow rig. Lots of custom touches to this trailer as this was my second build so I made upgrade to what didn't work on the last build. It has a 100ah sla battery and a small 110 inverter. Plenty of storage for a stove and pop-up in the counter storage. Heavy duty rack up top wide enough for two kayaks. Arb awning, led taillights, fantastic roof vent fan, stargazing window and extra large doors on both sides. The foam mattress is very comfy and folds into a couch inside. I built a custom pull out shoe storage under the doors, and a flat storage area on the tounge for your bbq and icechest. This trailer has been tested and camped in a few times so its ready for an adventure! Asking $8900 but I'll knock it down to $8500 for NCKA member.

For Sale / Jackson cuda 14 $600 **sold**
« on: June 24, 2019, 11:24:45 AM »
Selling my 14ft Jackson sit on top kayak. Very stable boat and easy to stand on. Comfy two position lawn chair style seat. Solid design and material. Lots of room to stow rods in the hull and tons of room in the back well for whatever you want to carry. Unloaded weight of about 80 lbs but rated to carry 400. Great boat for big water or lakes. I've had this boat in 10ft swells without a worry. Shows some light scratches from use but nothing deep and no leaks. Asking $ 600 Make offer

For Sale / Ar15 tack driver!
« on: September 26, 2016, 09:29:30 PM »
I would like to sell my ar before it's illegal to own in this great state....[emoji849] I built it a few years ago from a stripped stag arms lower. It has a skeleton non collapsible stock and a bullet button for legalities. The upper is DPMS 20" bull barrel with a upgraded BCG and pin. It also has a folding bipod mounted. The scope is a 9-40 power bsa. This gun is heavy and well suited for bench shooting, not too great to carry around but it easily shoots 10 rounds in a nickel at 100 yards. Looking to get $1000 for it. Just bought a 1500 shotgun and want to recover some cash. Obviously will do legal transfer through a ffl

Craftsmen's Corner / Lawn chair project

Been kinda thinking about improving my seat in the Viking while still keeping a low COG. Today walking through Costco I saw a bleacher seat that I couldn't resist for $20. Fits good and seems to sit pretty low.

Craftsmen's Corner / Flush mount install
« on: January 03, 2015, 12:08:01 AM »
Did a quick search and didn't see any info out there so I thought I would do a quick write up. My yak came with only one behind the seat but I want four so out came the hole saw!!!
First I layed it out where I wanted it to go planning for how the inner portion would end up inside the hull. I just used the gasket to get an actual location and traced it with a marker. (Pic1)

Then I tarted the hole with the pilot bit on the hole saw .  The drill must be angled to the direction that the inner portion of the flush mount is facing. (Pic2) * tip run the hole saw in reverse if the teeth are biting too fast in the soft plastic. Also use the closest hole saw size you can find and when in doubt go smaller you can always file it to make the hole larger.

Now test fit the flush mount and file as necessary checking for fit often. (Pic3-4)

Once it fits snug with a 3/16 bit drill one of the holes and insert a rivet to keep the holder from shifting when you drill the next one. (Pic5)

Now add your goop and place the holder and gasket into the hole. Set in all rivets. When seating the rivet press down firmly until the rod holder is flush on the bottom until the rivet pops. Then wipe excess. I like to add a little to the rivet hole as well.

General Talk / Seat comfort options??
« on: July 07, 2014, 10:45:19 PM »
Hey guys I currently paddle a cuda 14 with a nice seat but for some reason after a long day otw I have tingling/burning in my back and legs for a few days, I'm assuming it's a pinched nerve??? Any suggestions for how to change my setup or seat to improve this?  The newest Jackson seat has a lumbar support air bladder, but I can't imagine this would do much?
