It's great to see more fish being added to AOTY. I think there have been some large fish caught that have not been added and it would be good to see those up there. I jumped to an early lead with lots of species, but only have 2 or 3 really worthy fish. I expect to be bumped within a month or two. I do expect to get at least 10 species this year. That is goal # 1. Goal #2 is getting to 1500pts.  But no one has ever won with less than 1700 points. And that is a tall order when a 150 point fish is a great fish and a 180 point fish is a spectacular fish (unless it is a Clear Lake Crappie...).

It's often been my favorite tactic to try and dominate the top for as long as I can, racing to get the first 10 fish.  Not doing it this year, changing to fishing when I feel like it  :smt044. My AOTY tracker tells me the tails of who is catching though  :smt005

Same here - I've only had a couple trips this year so far.  Sum total of two fish, nothing worth even reporting, haha.

But, there is light at the end of my tunnel soon.  My schedule should start easing off soon, and I transition into a different position in July, which will afford more days off, many of which will be during the week when my wife is working and kids are in school.

Well, have not been here for a while then I see this. Maybe I should fish a bit and get to 18-1900 again. Give y'all something to shoot for.

So I got 10 species now but most are definitely in the Tiny Fish Slam category so I’m an easy target to overtake. Almost got to 10 in the first 5 months and I was wondering if there is any record of how quickly people got to 10 species.

In 2020, i had 10 by May 31. In 2021, i had 10 by April 3. I'm sure others beat me in years past.

10 by April 3rd is pretty impressive. I think that would be hard to beat, especially with rockfish closures.
