« on: October 01, 2010, 02:51:29 PM »
Caught a 14" koke last week @ Whiskeytown between Oak Bottom & power house.
Their moving towards creeks to spawn. ( Too dark to eat ) ...but fun to catch.
Was trolling a UV sling blade + Cripplure about 10' deep in 20' of water.
BANGOTAD and I will be heading out somewhere early nex't week.
Check back in or PM us to hook up, Good luck,

Tight Lines,
Tim

For info. in the area check out these websites.

shastacascade.com
shastatackle.com

As far as Kokanee fishing goes head for Wiskeytown Lake. (No Kokes in Shasta Lake ) but nice kings. I've caught 3 over 3+ pounds this year. Check out Phil's propellers &/or Strictly Fishin' for tackle.

Thanks guys , I ended up using a small sharpened plastic scraper to lift the edge and slowly peeled it off.
Removed the thin residual with my thumb using friction, was afraid to try the goo gone. I'm going to try
the pool of water nex't time I mount it.

Gearing Up and Rigging Up / How do you remove goop from a tranducer ?
« on: June 30, 2010, 12:48:29 PM »

Oops , I screwed up , and left an air bubble in the goop, any ideas how to remove the goop from the TD without harming it would be appreciated , it came off with the holder clean from the hull.

Thanks for that info.,the dealer suggested that I use Petroleum jelly instead of goop, but the fact of 100+ degrees up here said otherwise, will try the H2O

Nice job Tote, seeing that picture of the TD makes me wonder if I have an air bubble in my new Lowrance X50.
It's not working good enough to get arches. Is the foam the only support for TD now, and will the air gap
between the hull and TD cause problems.       Thanks,Tim

General Talk / Another noob onboard
« on: June 14, 2010, 05:45:39 PM »
Hi to all,
My name is Tim, I'm in the Redding area . After 10+ years of float tubing , I made the leap to kayak fishing.
I'm still trying to navigate this site so be patient. It's very informative & exciting , can't wait to hook-up with
fellow Yakers. So far I've only fished the lakes , but can't wait to fish the lower sac. river for wild trout and/or Hum. bay for flatties. Thank you all for the great site.
