I am so fucking excited about the possibility that this could actually happen. The chance to reconnect the brotherhood. The brotherhood that has meant so much to me for so long. A brotherhood forged by the sea and our mutual need to survive and thrive in the sea. Interacting with Mother Nature on such a simple yet gritty and honest level with people I truly care about. That is what makes me happy. The lost coast is so special. I will make a million fish tacos and take out the trash too. Anything for my brothers.
:chef: :smt041 : :headbang:Awesome news

The only conflict I can see at the point for May 11 is Mother's Day May 12th.
Does not work for Kim, my vote would be for May4th, just sayin...looking forward to it either way.

Just seeing this post.  Late to the party again. Crazy few days.   Got in a bad car wreck and totaled my truck.  Few sore ribs but all were ok.  Last night dog got skunked.   And coronavirus freak out is kicking in up here too.  I could sure use some time fishing with friends but I’m feeling the whole social distancing thing.  Not for myself but for the people I care about.  Thanks SinCoast for making the call.  It’s much appreciated.

Hopefully this thing works itself out soon!

Oh shit !, sorry to hear that buddy, hope it gets better for you soon. Based on that news I may just hang out at Shasta for a few days instead, still not going to work  :smt002, take care all as this crap is getting very real. As much as I love my old stomping grounds ( Berryessa ) I have my In-laws living next door that I must consider.

These are two good sites

https://gisanddata.maps.arcgis.com/apps/opsdashboard/index.html#/bda7594740fd40299423467b48e9ecf6

Especially that graph on right bottom if you expand shows the timeline with confirmed and cases which are deemed cleared. You can remove China as well. Remember the numbers for the US were just a few dozen a few days ago?

I like the below because it shows the daily change. What happens with flattening the curve is that it will actually take longer but avoids the chaos. There will be a time I think where so many people will have had it that they will open things back up. But risk especially for seniors will still be very high but hopefully capacity exists to help them survive. At some point the economy will have to restart again. This is quite the reset.

https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/

I work from home all the time anyways. So that hopefully stays that way. better get out of the house fishing to stay sane next weeks.

Lothar

What they need to be telling us is how many people have been tested. All we’re hearing is the number of confirmed cases. There’s supposedly 6 confirmed cases in Sonoma County. Well is that 6 out of 6? 6 out of 20? 6 out of 200??

My work has been deemed business critical, so I’m kind of on call right now. If one of the few teams that’s still in office needs business critical parts printed then I can go in.

I'm also using https://covidtracking.com/data/ , it has more details for individual states. It also explains how testing data is unreliably and inconsistently reported.

https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/covid-19-testing/ used to have testing data, but it's not been updated for more than a week.

Thanks for the great links, stay safe...

Thank you for sharing the full account of the incident. Valuable lessons learned and a reminder for us all to take to the waters with care and respect for the conditions.

+1
Great to hear it was a good outcome....

A couple of pics to share. We had such a great time despite the weather. Thank you Stockwell's and Brandi and all the other volunteers. Thank you to all that donated raffle prizes for the fundraiser for Shelter Cove.
