Taking my kids to tomales bay to crab out of a canoe since it seems calm. My question is where do i drop my pots? Near the mouth? Near hog island? Looking for some tips... Never actually been there.

I tend not to read the reports cause I'm not really sure how to. I checking on this app called magic seaweed and it said 10ft swells at 12sec at hmb. Is that rough?

Im thinking of picking up a action cam for the water, looking at the Garmin Virb... looks great but I want to see what everyone else is using.
Pros and cons of each.
Like the battery life of the garmin is almost 3 hours of continuous shooting as per a youtube vid I was watching.

General Talk / Austin Kayak (ACK) Not Honoring Price Match Guarantee

Was shopping around for the Scotty 302 and found myself looking at Hook1's website. Advertised Price 199 and of course they give us 10% off so now i'm at 179. I also wanted the scotty trap-ease but they were out of stock.
So I went to ACK and they advertise price match as long as they can verify. NO-Problem, they verified and they told me they still cannot match it. One reason is because its close to there cost on the item. They're trying to sell it for $279. So where's the Guarantee?

That's bad business!!!!

The more I look at the raptor the more im liking it. Should I sell my PA and get the raptor? Hows the speed, stability and tracking on this boat. Id like to hear all the pros and cons of the raptor.

CA Regulations / Out of state yaker, do I need to register the PA?

Hookups and Fishing Reports (Viewable by Public) / HMB 10/3 Dropping some traps fishing for rocks

Planning to make a trip out to half moon myself, but company is always welcome.
Haven't met to many peeps from ncka. I'm still a guppie, maybe someone can show me the ropes. I'll be on channel 69 and rolling in a PA 14. Launching from the old pier about 7:30am.

Places to Launch and Camp / Half Moon Bay?

I read on someone else's post that they put a barrier on the launch area by the boat landing area? Has anybody found out if we can still launch there?

Where else can I launch from? I've read the old wooden pier but I dont know where that is?
Google maps shows me a pretty big pier near by but im not sure if that's the one they're talking about.

I currently have two ambush nets which work well but im always thinking in the back of my mind that I might be losing some during the soak. So I'm looking to get some actual enclosed traps. Any recommendations? Pro's and con's?
