I have a 14 footer, I was wondering how many of you have used one in hmb or bodega? What was your experience like?

I'm hoping for good weather next weekend, 5 hour drive for me to get over there.

« on: March 24, 2016, 09:48:13 PM »
Taking my kids to tomales bay to crab out of a canoe since it seems calm. My question is where do i drop my pots? Near the mouth? Near hog island? Looking for some tips... Never actually been there.

I guess Hmb wasn't meant to happen for me this weekend but east Carson river was. Scored my personal best rainbow trout.

How accurate are these reports?

I tend not to read the reports cause I'm not really sure how to. I checking on this app called magic seaweed and it said 10ft swells at 12sec at hmb. Is that rough?

I can vouch on this report, I just came back from Hmb too.

I want the latest gen sony..it has the wrist watch and a simple tap goes back and saves stuff to a previous time...i think ten minutes or 5.....then records everything till you tap again.....so lets say you hook a fish...and land it...tap the watch and 10 minutes back is saved...no turning on or off or missed stuff...it tapes non stop....see a shark all of a sudden or splashing fish/bird...it can be  saved...cause it is watching and not saving till you tell it...

That's gotta kill the battery, but sounds badass!

Im thinking of picking up a action cam for the water, looking at the Garmin Virb... looks great but I want to see what everyone else is using.
Pros and cons of each.
Like the battery life of the garmin is almost 3 hours of continuous shooting as per a youtube vid I was watching.

Seems more straight up honest to me vs being bad business,

Yeah, it's not cool to advertise price matching and then not, but NCKA discount was on top of an advertised price, so there's some wiggle room in their guarantee.

Just curious though, If Hook1 can supply it at 179, why are you trying to get it from ACK?

Hook1 has a long history of treating NCKA right.

And this is the first negative I've ever heard of on ACK.
Even at the no discounted price $199 vs ACK $279, with that much difference theres some price gouging in my opinion
