For Sale / AI and 6500w generator
« on: March 05, 2018, 11:52:16 AM »
I really don’t want to, but my housing situation is changing (read: I have to buy a house) and the AI’s gotta go I think so I can pay some crap off.

It’s a 2011 AI, turbo fins, tramps, lots and lots of rod holders and accessories. Bought it on here January of 2017 I believe. Has old style seat, but also a regular boat seat for full sail mode. No fish finder. Just did new mast bearings this winter. Paid $2800, would need $2500 out of it, and I’m still trying to find a way not to sell.

Also have a winco tri fuel 6500 watt genny I’ve had for a while. Runs on propane, natural gas or regular gas. It is complete, minus battery, but hasn’t been run in a few years. Turns over just fine. This thing is damn heavy, so it comes on a wood cart. Will include the full propane tank. I know these sold new for almost $3k. Honestly, since I have not had time to start it or mess with it, make me an offer on it in as is condition.

I can text pics, I work 7-5 Monday through Friday, so if you’re interested shoot me a text at 707-344-8480.

Thanks,

Cody

EDIT: Can include Lowrance total scan transducer (from elite 7ti) if it makes the deal. Its in a water bath under the center hatch.
You won't hurt my feelings with generator offers!

Where abouts are you looking? I spent a lot of time in Destin and Panama City on the Gulf side, and in Daytona and Cocoa beach on the Atlantic side when I was younger. I prefer the Atlantic side myself. Lots of good fishing that way, you just have to make sure your catch doesn't get carried off by a mosquito the size of a B-29.

For Sale / Knolly Endorphin MTB
« on: May 04, 2017, 01:23:59 PM »
I have a new (bought in December) Knolly Endorphin mountain bike frame for sale. Size large, raw aluminum. Cane creek double barrel air shock upgrade, cane creek 40 series headset installed at the shop I bought it from. Never built, never ridden.

Paid $1700+ in December, haven't had time/motivation to build it. Asking $1200 now! Will trade for super mega awesome cruiser bike, or maybe something else of the same value that I'll use.

For Sale / Tarpon 160i $400
« on: May 04, 2017, 10:25:41 AM »
Thinking of selling my WS Tarpon 160i. I love the boat, fast and efficient, but no that I have the AI for going long distance I use the Tarpon less and less. Bought it last year from my neighbor for cheap. Cleaned it up, put a WS rudder kit on it and flush mount rod holders behind the seat. Also replaced all the worn out original bungees with new. It has a large ram ball up front for ff mounting, and the smaller 1" beside that to mount a ram transducer mount. It also has a 1" hole (filled with goop) with a lowrance power cable passed through to the hull. I would replace that goop with a hobie through hull plug if I were to keep it.

Selling as a bare hull, no leaks, all hatches etc present, but no seat/paddle/etc. Rudder kit alone was $300 so selling the boat for $400

General Talk / Re: Rear Ended with Kayak

I think you'll find if you do go the roof rack route it's honestly as easy as sliding the boat in the bed, and then you have the entire bed for storage!

I am wondering how getting it up onto a roof rack is just as easy as sliding it into the bed? Granted I have a heavy Outback but I just can't see it being just as easy. Not trying to be a dick, just curious as I could use the extra storage for camping trips.

That sucks lineside, I always worry about that going up 29 or Silverado trail. Glad everything seems OK. But I agree with other users, next time get the info just as a fail safe.

I have the rear cradles that are felt covered. The boats slide up super easy, and then it's 2 quick straps and you're done. The bed rack never has to come off, and I don't have to worry about the things I load in the bed coming out (like the amas for my AI which I would have to strap in with a bed extender, now I just throw them in the bed), or the boat getting rear ended. I suppose it may not be easier for everyone, but it's certainly more easy and convenient for me, and my truck is tall. I thought it would be hard, and didn't get racks for a long time because of it.

I never back my truck down the ramp to the water, that may be a deal breaker if that's something you do. Also a short boat and a tall truck may be more difficult, the angle would be pretty steep.

I didn't read your reply as dick-ish, people are always asking how the hell I get my kayaks up there at the boat ramp.

Sorry to hear you got hit, but glad to hear it sounds like no damage. I always worried about that same thing, that's why I wound up buying bed racks, I had a mountain bike get ht on the back of a car, and a composite 40% RC plane get shattered the same way. I think you'll find if you do go the roof rack route it's honestly as easy as sliding the boat in the bed, and then you have the entire bed for storage!

As a side note, next time something happens, at least get their info, phone number or something. You never know if damage could be hidden enough that it's not apparent at the time of the accident or until it's stressed.

Haven't finalized my itinerary yet, but that weekend and the following week are my vacation. I plan to visit family in my old Kentucky home, we may have to organize some NCKA express for the Bud Light to Monterey!

Awesome post buddy! The Ray Wylie quote couldn't be more true! It's great to just sit back and look around, see some cool stuff, and be thankful to be where you are doing what you're doing. Then get back to the fishin' nice and relaxed! I'd have totally missed a pod of dolphins this weekend if I wouldn't have just stopped to "smell the roses!"

Looks awesome. May have to get into one of those, my 14ah deep cycle is better served as a boat anchor I think.

Looking forward to a longer term test rob! A lot of lithium battery's begin to lose capability around 200 cycles, and all benefit from, correct storage charge and not over discharging. Do these have a storage charge setting (usually about 80%) or a protection from over discharge? Not hard to monitor on your own, just curious if maybe it was built in.
