general tip for folsom this time of year ( 55 degree water ) ...... drag small plastic worm in green pumpkin on a carolina rig at 20 feet around rocks

i know i am wearing this subject out but spring ( 62 + degrees ) is completely different.
bigger baits shallow . flats with trees and bushes . boat activity making dingy water really helps too. This goes for every bass lake around  here

you can't wear this subject out, not on this forum!

I've tried the carolina rig pumpkin (and white, and....) secos before...some luck, but not much.  Hopefully I'll get sometime out there this weekend

senkos sink to much, perfect to throw in the trees when the water is up as they flutter as they sink.  Much better choice for carolina rig ( splitshot rig is the same concept) is a neutral buoyancy worm like roboworm in Aarons magic or a floating worm like strike king

Welcome! You aren’t too far from me I am up in Auburn, I fresh and salt water fish. I am new to the area so still learning. Love ocean fishing but also grew up trout fishing in Mammoth etc. still learning and trying local lakes up here. Let me know when you plan to go out maybe we can plan something.
