General Talk / Re: where to launch at lake Don Pedro

If you take hy 132 past bonds flat rd and before dollar genral, there is a pull-out.  The lake is close to there. I have never done it myself but have seen people parked there and fishing almost every time I go through there.

For Sale / 2018 hobie outback camouflage
« on: February 21, 2020, 11:50:11 AM »
I'm selling my sons outback. its never been in the ocean only used about 15 times in local lakes. Has a lorwance hds5 fish finder.  The camouflage outback comes with the upgraded rutter from the factory.  At least that's what the salesperson told us. Has a rod holder and the guys in the shop made me a set of wheels. I got the tires at tractor supply they are large.  I don't have very many pictures on my phone and its lifted in my garage right now. Text is the best way to contact me. 209-620-6291.

« on: November 04, 2019, 09:14:11 AM »
I have never surf fly fished and would have to check the date but would like to learn. I live in the turlock aera.  I normally ocean fish out of moss landing but don't mind fishing somewhere else.

Native Watercraft / Blue sky 360

Dose anyone have any experience with these kayaks?  Any pros or cons? I have a hobie PA 12 and a friend of a friend wants to trade a blue sky 360 for it. The 360 is wider and longer. I think it would be more stable than the hobie too. I fish mostly lakes and a little bit in the ocean. Any input is appreciated.

Hookups and Fishing Reports (Viewable by Public) / Re: O neill forebay
« on: April 10, 2019, 11:51:08 AM »
That means soon I heard when it gets hot the wind picks up. I'm hoping to catch a few big ones before it gets to windy to be out there on my kayak.

I have been out there the past 2 weekends on my kayak.  Caught lots of fish but they have all been small too. Is there a time of year   the big fish are more active?

If you looked out your front window and saw an unfriendly group of fine upstanding citizens,  which magazine would you put in your gun? 10 or 30 or 100? Maybe you'll say that has never happened and never will. If I'm going to keep a gun for protecting my home and family, I want it to work well for more than a single intruder.

That's why i prefer a pump action shotgun.  There is no one in the world that doesn't recognize that sound, and i barely have to aim.
But if there is 5 guys you only have 3 shots then what? Hope they wait so you can reload?

So, is better education and better mental health the answer?

If limiting mag counts is out (and I see the logic in asking the 'why is 7 better than 30 question') is there any way to prevent the future Parklands or what-have-you?
Or are these events just the cost of freedom comparable to military or LEO casualties?

Who decides who needs a psych evaluation?

How is better education going to stop mass shootings?

My opinion is that instead of trying to create a nanny state and restricting the rights of law abiding gun owners we focus our energy instead on restricting rights of felons
