General Talk / Re: Looking for 40 cal pistol recommendations $500. Range
« on: November 10, 2016, 08:00:20 PM »
.40 is a great choice.  I am retired law enforcement, and I came to love that round.  There are many hot 9mm loads out there too, so the differences in ballistic performance is probably not that significant.  The .40 is definitely more zippy (recoil) out of smaller handguns.  I am a Smith & Wesson fan, and I went with an M&P Shield.  But, I carry concealed, so I wanted small and thin.

Ya, too bad for the guy.  It's easy to set your rod against something, or set something on your roof, then drive off.  No response yet.  I should have thought to leave a note on the ground where he was parked.  He probably came back looking, and is mad that someone stole his rod.

Oh well......

Greetings all!  Hoping to get assistance finding the owner of some lost gear.  I was at the Port of Sacramento today.  As I was taking my stuff down to the water, an Asian guy with an inflatable kayak was at his car, packing up.  He was driving a four door sedan.  Anyway, when I came back up for more of my gear, he was gone, but his fishing pole was laying on the ground where has car had been.  Unfortunately, he backed over his rod and broke it.

If anyone knows who the owner might be, please let me know.  The rod is toast, but the reel is undamaged.

It was around 11:00 am, 9/27/16.

Thanks!

I like the Ugly Stick medium heavy, BWCL 2200 6'6", 12-30 line weight.  The extra length of the 7' might be nice.

Thank you for the responses.  Fishing_Folsom, you are obviously close!  I am looking forward to hitting the local lakes or heading up to the Sierra lakes.  NoSoup.....  I have been eyeballing Oroville and the afterbay.  Perhaps a trip up that way soon...

Thanks again!

Greetings!  I have been a long time visitor to this site.  Not sure why I never joined, but finally did.  I have a Jackson Kilroy kayak that I plan to use for both fishing and hunting ducks.

I am looking forward to meeting other members on the water!
