Spent the weekend in Weaverville for the 4th and am staying a few days in Arcata with my brother before heading home. Brought a couple ocean rods and my perch set-up. Any tips on a good launch spot for halibut or rock fish? Or a good beach for perch? Thanks

Hey all, anybody try the new Scotty gear tracks? I'm wondering if they will accommodate other brand equipment. I'm thinking the 1" would be perfect for the Yak Attack cupholder I won at the Crabfest on the mod pod of mt OK t13. Thanks

Cabelas has a Lowrance Elite 3x dsi for $129. Will the power cord, transducer and base work on the Elite 4 dsi head unit I have?

Also, anybody put a Lowrance dsi transducer through the scupper on a Trident. Thanks

Wanted To Buy / Tandem

I am looking to buy a tandem kayak. I have a special needs child and so one that carries three would better fit our needs. Dicks has a Rambler by Perception. Anyone have any experience with them. Reviews vary. Thanks for your help. Josh.

Places to Launch and Camp / Camping at Trinity Lake?

Heading up to Weaverville in June for some camping and need a recommendation for camp sites. Looking for something on the water for launching kayaks and where the kids can swim and shore fish too. Have stayed at Lewiston, and love it, but looking for something a little more family friendly. We have a tent trailer. Thanks.

Wilderness Systems / Seats for older Tarpons

I have an '05 Tarpon 120 with the flip up backrest and a 'Yakpads' cover that fits nicely over it. Has anybody tried other seats on these older boats that you would recommend. I will eventually like to upgrade to a newer Tarpon, but for now am just looking to make mine as comfortable as possible. Thanks.

Got these crabs in Tomales Bay on Monday. About half the Dungeness came from pots off the kayaks and the kids scored the others in hoops off the pier.

Introductions / Fishin Fool New to Site

Hi. I've been fishing for many years,kayaking a few and have joined the ranks of the obsessed and got myself equipted to fish and crab from my kayak. So far have dropped pots off Doran and sturgeon/striper fished off China Camp. Planning a trip to Tomales soon where I have paddled, but never fished/crabbed (except off the pier at Lawson's). I look forward to learning from experience Kayak Anglers and posting a few pics of my own.
