Sorry to hear about these circumstances. You seem like you'll get through them just fine with your attitude! Wondering if any G2s left? Cousin and I considering getting new yaks.

I just wear the non insulated waders with paddle jacket over. And if I need to walk a lot I throw on tennis shoes on the wafer socks... But it's really comfortable w/o shoes

I have SIK and it gets very uncomfortable for long periods of time. Plus if water gets in it gets me wet plus stays in the seat because it's deep therefore making me really cold. I'm looking for a SOT too. Headwaters had a great deal today that someone snatched up real quick. It was a Old Town Predator XL great condition for $650... Gone within hours. They often times have great deals you just have to watch constantly.

Right on, nice fish! Any friend of Kris is a homie in my book. What's the story on that swell shark?

Well I was fishing off a pier and my friend hooked up and it didn't fight that much but when we dragged it around and close to the shore I wadded in and grabbed it. It tried a little to nip and had a very strong back and all mushy stomach. But then after the picture it threw up its  stomach and swallowed it again. It was the most bazaar thing I've ever experienced. I held it in the water for a while until it was ready to go then it slowly swam away.

I later researched to figure out what type of shark it was because for all I knew it looked like a leopard shark mated with an eel. I found out that spitting up their stomachs is a way to keep predators away. Since their nocturnal fish when a predator comes during the day they suck in water and bloat themselves then bite onto their own tail so it makes it harder for the predator to pull them out of the rocks.

Welcome aboard, Joseph. Nice catches!

You already have a kayak, or in the market?

I already have one. I went twice out of stillwater last year but I wasn't nearly prepared as I am this year.

Hello I'm Joseph Evers I'm 15 and I have been fishing all my life in the Monterey bay. My friend Kris introduced me to this.  I've caught some nice fish from the boat and beach but I'd like to do it on a yak too! I can't wait to get out this year.
