I'm new to NCKA. I've had my Hobie kayak for about 7months now and have been out in the east bay lakes and reservoirs but now I feel ready to start tackling some saltwater.

I saw your other post about a guide.  Shelter Cove is a great place to introduce yourself to ocean fishing, if you want to come north.  I focus on helping with everything that you will need to know in order to be safe and proficient in the sport.

Down there I think you can't go wrong to hire Kayak Fish Sonoma or go to Santa Cruz and get out with Allen Bushnell.
