General Talk / Could Santa Cruz jetty be modified?« on: March 19, 2016, 11:29:46 AM »
Could the jetty or entrance be modified using computer modeled sand flow programs so that the sand would bypass the entrance and land in front of O'neills?

Hookups and Fishing Reports (Viewable by Public) / Santa Cruz Harbor closed- anchovy die-off« on: July 31, 2014, 04:13:39 PM »
Took pictures of dead anchovies on the way out 0700. When I came back afternoon the launch ramp was closed. The white in photo is dead anchovies on bottom. Check the website.
http://www.santacruzharbor.org/ Otherwise caught a nice vermillion, a blue, and three brown between 1/2 and 1/4 mile north of mile marker. Nice day. 6

I'm considering fishing the Natural Bridges area this winter. Would anyone say that the shark warning applies that far south. I'm thinking that by Dec. they have gone from being somewhat dispersed to finding their way to the dinner table at Ano Nuevo. Ten or twenty miles is just a casual bit of a stroll for those guys tho. Being in a yum yum yellow kayak makes me nervous in wintertime. 8

Gearing Up and Rigging Up / horizon hydrogen battery charger« on: May 20, 2011, 12:25:17 PM »

I don't know as this would be of much value to kayak anglers at present. If the price of the hydrogen fuel supply comes down, then in the future something like this would be excellent. Maybe it would be possible to run the fishfinder, gps, misc., and recharge the radio at the same time. A central unit larger than the one pictured, with the in motion problem solved. 13
