A friend sent me this story, not sure if it has been posted already but couldn't find it in a search.

Gotta love Florida!

General Talk / T-Shirt Screenprinter Recommendations, Richmond/East Bay?
« on: September 24, 2017, 12:38:11 PM »
My daughter's tiny co-op school is looking to do a run of t-shirts. Not a big order, probably 50 total mixed adult/kid sizes two to three colors. Looking for any recommendations, her school is in North Richmond. Would like to have them completed within a month or so. The artwork is almost done and the school will start taking orders this week.

Thanks,
Coleman

Just returned from our annual trip to visit my wife's folks in Florida. Got in a little fishing and hunting with Grandpa in between some decent surf and a day at Disney with our daughter Sadie.

Final tally:
Three meat hogs
Two snook
Two sunburns
One Disney Day
Two decent days of chest high surf at Sebastien Inlet

Oh and we flew United so...
Six hours of flight delays
One changed planed due to a failed take off attempt
Two return trips to the gate due to mechanical failures
One outrageous checked baggage charge ($150 for cooler with frozen game meat and dry ice)
Three separated middle seats traveling with a child (thanks to both 20 something male a-holes who won't change seats so a nine year old girl can sit with her mother)

Great trip, bad airline

General Talk / Surfboard Fish Art
« on: April 03, 2016, 07:54:52 PM »
Picked up a new board from Buck Noe in SC on Friday. My wife did a custom fish stencil paint job on it for me at the shop before glassing. This was a 10th anniversary present and it left me speechless. Love my gal, best present ever! Can you id all the fish?

General Fishing Tips / First time to Lake Almanor
« on: June 27, 2015, 03:38:44 PM »
Heading up to Lake Almanor next Friday morning for the weekend. We'll be staying with another family who has the campground so I'm not sure what part of the lake we'll be on just yet. I mostly fish saltwater but I have some light and medium spin setups and a couple of medium baitcasting setups. Any tips on tackle, and what species to target would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Coleman

General Talk / Changes To Rockfish Regs?
« on: January 14, 2015, 10:56:56 AM »
I just read this in the Lawson's Landing fishing report. Anyone know anything about it?

"Rockfishing from boats is closed now but may reopen as soon as April 15 if the Fish and Game Commission passes their proposed changes. Also likely, a three fish limit for lingcod and a five fish limit for black rockfish. Start studying now for your black vs. blue rockfish identification."

Going out tomorrow morning, picking up my pot thats been soaking since Friday night. Picked up a nice ling and a couple of gopher Rf after I dropped the pot Fri evening hoping for more tomorrow. Rare chance to fish Pt Bonita, reasonable tide and none swell. Still a surf launch but doable, park at the lagoon bridge and launch from the middle of the cove. I'll be there around 7-7:30 or hit me up ch69. Not and area for the faint of heart but and area that doesn't see much pressure either.

Introductions / Chiming in from Richmond
« on: May 30, 2013, 10:33:54 AM »
Hello All,
I have met a few members in person over the past couple of years I've been Kayak fishing and have appreciated all the good vibes, welcome advice and tips I'v been given. I love fishing the Monterey, SC, SM and Marin coasts but would really like to get my local Bay spots wired. I've been out to Red Rock, South Hampton Shoal and Pt. Molate with limited succes and would appreciate any advice on targeting Halibut in those areas.
See ya out there,
Soleman
