Those are some crazy dudes. It's amazing how well they handled that thing in the waves. Their paddling was in perfect sync going out. Great winter thread.

General Fishing Tips / Re: Kayak loading on tailgate spoiler« on: February 04, 2024, 07:34:56 PM »Thanks y’all. Good advice here as usual.I've tried those, it doesnt stay on all time and will slip when you put weight on it. I tried something similar and the kayak slipped off unless it was perfectly balanced and pushed. I set it right back. 22

I use a Rhino tack T loader and it makes loading on my CRV easy. I can even easily avoid my antenna on top.

General Fishing Tips / Re: you all fishing the ocean. do you see fishing jet-skies out there?« on: January 26, 2024, 10:12:38 PM »
A friend of mine bought one last year and has been going out a bit but I have never seen one one the water myself. To me it doesn't seem worth it due to the heavy restrictions. As TeeKay mentioned you might as well just get a boat.

Gearing Up and Rigging Up / Re: baitcaster reel recommendations?« on: January 06, 2024, 07:06:41 PM »
I really like Piscifun reels. I have 4. They are inexpensive yet well made. Good for salt too. They have a few options for gear ratios and handle type. Moo Moo did a review on them a while ago. They usually have sales and are $80-90 now:

I'm beginning to wonder if Todd is human. Can anyone confirm that he is not an escaped AI and this isn't the beginning of the singularity? Seriously, well done. I don't know how you do it.

Thank you Paul and team for representing many of us kayak anglers and bringing our community to the attention of DFG. I think you are doing a great job and it sounds like they are listening. I was not able to attend the meeting but I should be able to attend the meeting on Feb 14th virtually and would be happy to cede time to anyone who wants to speak.
