Had a little mishap while cutting a piece of tubing with a razor blade at work last night. I had to remove a mandrel from a piece of tubing and, like an idiot, chose a razor blade to do the job. (Sorry, Erik!) As I'm thinking to myself "I shouldn't be doing it this way" the blade slips and does a number on my thumb and index finger. I'm posting this picture as a reminder to myself and everyone else to think twice before doing things we KNOW are careless.

It didn't hurt too bad (I think I went into mild shock) and I was more embarrassed and feeling foolish than anything. The most ironic part about it all is that I am the M.E.R.T. member for swingshift hours in my building. (Again sorry Erik!)

So before the next time you try something foolish, just remember this pic!

I got the call from Security on Thurs night at like 11:00 PM to let me know that somone cut their finger and was taken to the hospital.  Then he says it's Dustin.  Doh!  Not good.

We have a new addition to the list of how to know when you're addicted to NCKA...

#73  You post your work-related injury report on NCKA.org before you get around to submitting it on your employer's reporting system.

#73  The safety manager at your place of employment begins getting injury reports faster on NCKA.org then through the reporting system that is in place at work.

Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

A Steelhead always knows where he is going, but a Man seldom does.
