General Fishing Tips / BEST TIP EVER!!
« on: July 19, 2020, 12:32:19 AM »
Hey guys,
I’m a bit of a slow learner, but starting to see the light.
After my recent post, I got some advice about toning down my posts because I’m blowing up spots and upsetting the locals.
Well..... Sorry, but I GET IT NOW!!
Rolled up to Bolinas around 7am this am and DAMN, couldn’t find a place to park.  WTF?
Frustrated, I turned  around and decided to get a doughnut instead.

Do you guys think it’s best to voluntarily “generalize” our fishing reports?  I definitely screwed myself this am.
NCKA is a great community, but apparently there’s a lot of people scanning reports, looking to capitalize on intel.

Going forward, I for one, will refrain from posting specifics.  Don’t see any good coming from it. Maybe that’s what slowed the salmon bite?  Too much pressure?  Maybe, maybe not, but parking sure sucked.  :smt010

Use my experience as an example and not hurt ourselves.

Halon out!

Some people are naïve as to how unforgiving the ocean can be, liike my ex-wife.

Gearing Up and Rigging Up / Re: Transducer Mounting
« on: July 15, 2020, 09:00:17 PM »
Use Goop or marine goop.  it's the same as far as I can tell.  Just make sure the kayak is on a flat surface or the transducer might slide before finally setting, so check it 5 - 10 min after you set it to make sure it's setting in the right location.

Albright for the win!

Kayaking without a pfd and radio is part of natural selection.
Safety is rule #1.

Check out my post on Bolinas.  It's hot now, hope it lasts into the weekend.

I'm fairly new and been a lurker.  I guess it's time I came out and shared/contributed.
