Safety First / Re: NRS farmer John wetsuit rash
« on: August 20, 2023, 05:04:24 PM »

It looks more infectious than allergic. MRSA is now endemic so ask them to culture it and dont take no for an answer. My situation was VRSA which went on for a couple of years of misery and ended in near sepsis in the ER and gruesome emergency surgery Original rash was very similar to yours

Out of consideration for my fellow steak lovers I won’t post pics

Bottom line is take it very seriously

Hi All,

My leg rash / irritation has resolved. I do agree that if you ever think you may have a skin infection / infection to seek medical care as appropriate.
I do have a medical background and I was simultaneously watching for signs / symptoms of infection which thankfully did not occur.

But i'm glad to know that most of you don't seem to have this kind of rash / irritation regularly so its definitely something I'm going to try to find an answer to as previously mentioned.

Probably too much sausage in the sausage casing = need something with better fitment and/or rule out allergy to materials / detergent.

Best,

Ed

Appreciate the input all.

I’ll give it a fresh wash, maybe get some seam tape.

If that doesn’t work it might be trial and error with larger suit / different suit and or a dry suit.

It might take some time to figure it out, but I’ll post if / when I do.
Stay safe everyone.

Thanks all for the responses. @Moo, I wasn’t hotter than normal I suppose. I’m curious if y’all can fit a finger gap comfortably in your wetsuit in the leg area.

It’s pretty snug for me. Although I suspect it’s probably not too good if my suit is too loose as well in case I go in the drink.

Hi All,

I’ve noticed after going kayak fishing with my wetsuit I get this abrasion rash. I’m trying to figure out if I need to get a larger size wetsuit vs trying another brand (style). I can feel the seam stitching on the inside which I suspect is rubbing on the inside.

This is slightly minimized with body glide but still persists.

Any thoughts would be appreciated. Pics attached

TIA

Ed

I got a GopherHawk for Christmas (my family has a sense of humor, yet is also practical). I found a new run in some recently cleared yard space so I was going to try the hawk out Sunday

However, as I was letting the dog take a leak Saturday evening before deploying the trap, I came across our organic pest control unit, crouched over a fresh gopher hole, juuuust finishing up her evening meal. Smart cat, she left the gutpile for me to clean up. Cats: so cute, yet so evil.

I'm sure I'll have a chance to try the GopherHawk soon enough though.

Haha - organic pest control unit.  :smt003

Good luck with the trap. Would be interested to know your experience with it...another tool for the extermination toolbox.

The Epoch Times and the NTD - New Tang Dynasty media outlets are Falun Gong mouthpieces. Their sole reason for existing is to make the CCP look as bad as they possibly can. Not without (possibly quite good if you believe the organ harvesting statistics) reason though.

But later articles or vlogging from them, as well as the China uncensored YouTube channels have not brought up the 21 million missing cell phone numbers angle.

Now, from personal experience living in China, I can tell you that many, many people there have either multiple cheapie smartphones, or just swap SIM cards in order to use multiple numbers.

So, in a struggling economy, saving that 50 or more RMB monthly for a number that's optional is somewhat of a no-brainer.

Soooo - 21 million dead? Not hardly.  And if one actually goes and hunts down the original The Epoch Times article that is quoted all over the stinkin' place, it also says that it's unlikely that 21 million died.

On the other hand - I've information from a former student from Wuhan that confirmed there were indeed tens of thousands more funerary urns distributed from Wuhan mortuaries this year than during the equivalent period right before the qingming holiday about 10 days ago.

Shen Yun dance performances also related to Falun Gong. Most people don't realize until they are actively watching the show.
