Hey fellas I have a 1st gen hullivator and one of the shocks took a dump on me, and honestly the stock shocks dont help much with my OB.  Any one here replaced / upgraded the shocks?  I have read a bit about it on the interwebs but was curious if any locals had advice / experience.

Here’s for starter. You can go stainless but it’s 115$ each.
Drilled the huge rivets out and hacked/put together threaded rod as rivet replacement. Nuts used on each side to hold the rod / strut together are like t bolt type. I think it’s 1/4x20 size.
It works but I wish I used the 120lbs coz I only used the 100.
Carries the Outback not bad.
PS if you gonna go diy route. The gas springs needs to be compressed and it’s basically a Hail Mary that the straps you use(I used racheting strap and hacked wire hanger to compress) hold up.. if not it might explode on your hand or something or maybe not.

I changed one last month.  Used the YouTube directions.  Seems to work.  Having a little trouble locking in the down position.
