Community Fundraiser for Marv!

Good job guys.   I’m down for some raffle items as well. Or an auction here. Then maybe we could individually send our items to whoever wins them. It would take some logistics out of the equation. Someone would just have to accept the money. I would be willing to pay for the shipping of my items.

Ok guys, I went ahead and created a Paypal Pool (similar to the AOTY/DOTY entry fee). It’s a free way to pool together $ for shared expenses, etc. And it doesn’t charge a fee.
This is the best I could come up with for now—I’m open to other suggestions too. (not sure if Marv wants his address out there for people to mail him cash?)
I think the raffle idea is something people can handle individually. [I do not want to be in charge of shipping the items, arranging delivery, or making sure people pay]
Every dollar contributed to this pool will go directly to Marv. Even if I have to drive up there and give him the cash.

Good question, that was mostly due to the raffle component (can’t accept $ thru paypal for a raffle or “opportunity drawing” in CA). In this case, the Paypal Pool platform was created for this exact purpose—to pool together $ for shared expenses, etc.

Update: we figured out how to get the cash to Marv through the NCKA express. Thank you Aaron!

So I think we’re going to do the first transfer on Thursday night. We’ll obviously continue accepting donations after that time—but if you could help by donating $ before then, that would be great! Thank you everybody.
