Crabfest 2021 Cancelled (updated 12/30/2020)

Seeing that Crabfest is still on is like a shiny silver lining on the turd that has been 2020. So looking forward to this.

Has registration opened yet? I can’t find anything.

You could still drop pots and retrieve like a boss, grab two plates of food to go and geeturdun.  3 hours to drop in the evening, early or late pull depending on schedule...you'll need to get some fresh air by then being 10 days into newborn insanity...just brainstorming...hope I don't get in trouble planting seeds of possibilities...

Registration has not been posted yet and will probably be posted around the end or beginning of the year. Currently the park is not offering permits for events. I am hopeful things will get better, but at this time can not be 100%

Permit or not, we will be there like always, crabbing, fishing, drinking, partying!!!

We have our usual site and plan to be there too. I just hope the campgrounds don't get shut down again due to Covid.

Just received this from Sonoma County Parks.  The closure dates are prior to Crabfest but it's not looking good.

Sonoma County Campground Closures - Dec. 10, 2020

Dear Campers,

We are closing campgrounds beginning Friday, Dec. 11, 2020 as Sonoma County joins six other Bay Area counties in preemptively adopting the state's recent regional stay-home order.

Due to rapidly rising COVID-19 infections, Sonoma County's order implements the state's regional restrictions through Jan. 9, 2021. These restrictions prohibit overnight stays at campgrounds.
 
We are cancelling camping reservations for all dates between Dec. 11, 2020 and Jan. 9, 2021 and issuing refunds.
 
If you made a reservation after July 1, 2020, your refund will be issued directly to your credit card.

If you made a reservation before July 1, 2020, we need you to fill out this refund-request form and return it to camping@sonoma-county.org. Refunds will be made by check and could take four to six weeks to process.
 
If you have questions specific to your reservation, you can reach us between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Friday at (707) 565-2267 or by emailing camping@sonoma-county.org.

It's highly unlikely I'll be able to attend this year due to health reasons.  If this is still a go this year and someone is needing a site, PM me.  Site 118 from Thursday 1/28/21 to Sunday 1/31/21

Bummer you had to cancel but not surprised, but we are still going and will be there Wednesday thru Sunday.  I'll be flying the NCKA flag like normal.
