First off thank you all for the donations so far. At this point the kayak and any shipping are more than covered. I’ve received messages about the tax liability using PayPal. I am aware of this and taking steps to try and avoid this at all cost. Thank you for your concern.

Done!! The Freitas's are such a great family. The Pratts are also a great family, thank you setting all of this up! This why the NCKA family is soo incredible

my company has been matching any donations going to the Camp Fire victims. Another way to maximize the much needed help for the victims. This is not Santa Rosa/Napa Valley. Many will not have insurances cover their losses. This has to me much to common last 2 years. Terrible.

Here’s some new news thanks to Mackayayhan Bourland & Coalface Creattions. He contacted me and wanted to help out raising money for the Freitas family. So he offered up a Feather-Raft as another prize to be given away. This is also able to be shipped to the winner. I’ve never been on one of these but they look super cool and crazy stable. Thank you Mackayayhan for the awesome donation.

Wanted to give you an update on the situation regarding the Freitas family and the fundraiser.

Bret and his family are doing fine and dealing with the emotions of the reality of losing everything. They are surrounded by so many people that love them and want to help them. They are a major part of the kayak angling community so their extended family is quite large.

Last night they did another FB Live and are asking that any other effort to raise funds go to another organization. This is one of the things I love about them. They are selfless and not looking for any kind of windfall from their tragedy. We love you Freitas family!!!

Now onto the raffle for the 2019 Hobie Outback Camo valued at $2,949 + tax and shipping. To this point we have raised a total of $6,750. That’s pretty awesome but I know we can do better than this. Out of this $6,750 we will have to subtract between $1,960 - $2,400 for the kayak and shipping. So that puts at $4,350 going to the Freitas family. I have made any funds above the price of the kayak available to the them if they have any immediate needs.

With the size of this community I know we can take it to the next level for this family.
