So here's a few pics of the Hboe Sport. I installed a Scotty base, extension Arm, & rod holder on the right side.  Then an GT-90-8 on the other. Attached to that is a Ram FF mount with a Lowrance Elite 3X and a YakAttack Tranducer Arm mount.

Please make a point to thank YakAttack, CCK, & Wingshooter for the awesome support.

I have a lot of other cool stuff for the Jr's as well. But this is the biggie.

Fishing Tournaments and Events / 2015 JAOTY/JDOTY announcement
« on: January 03, 2016, 03:55:21 PM »
I would like to start this post out by saying thank you to all the parents who took the time to take their kids out and get them on the  water and the opportunity to catch a fish. Good job to all of you.

There was a total of 26 Juniors signed up for the Junior Anglers and out of that 19 of the kids posted at least 1 fish. We had 5 Junior Divers and 3 of them posted up catches. Great job to all of you Juniors.

But in the end the could be only one Junior Angler of the Year and for 2015 that would be the one and only MightyQuinn (Quinn), AVQ (Aiden) was a close second, & Cochino (Kristopher) rounded out the top three. Great job young men i truly enjoyed seeing the amazing fish you've posted through out the year.

Our Top Spot on the Junior Driver of the Year for 2015 went to Cochino (Kristopher) who owned the Jr. Diver competition this year. In Second Place was Silent Hunter (Noah), & in Third Place was my very own daughter Skylar (Savannah). I am so proud of all of you. Diving is a whole other beast and to see these juniors getting underwater is truly amazing. Keep it up!!!

I look forward to seeing how these kids progress over the years and become the future of the sports.

This year California Canoe & Kayak was the main sponsor for the Nor Cal Kayak Anglers (NCKA) - Junior Angler/Diver of the Year program. CCK has donated a Hobie Sport Mirage Drive Kayak and I am looking forward to the Awards Ceremony to give this awesome kayak to one lucky kid. The kayak will not just be a stock kayak it will be rigged with YakAttack, Scotty, & a Lowarance Elite 3x.

I have several other cool prizes for the kids that will be given away at the Awards Ceremony.

General Talk / Hey Juniors

I picked up the Hobie a Mirage Drive Sport today from CCK. I am so excited to be giving this sweet little kayak to one of you lucky kids.

Parents if you haven't got your kids out to catch a fish yet that's the first step for them to have a chance to win this great kayak.

I will be posting updates as I get the rigging done on this thing.

Who's gonna be the lucky winner???

General Talk / Friends at NCKA events
« on: September 29, 2015, 07:08:43 PM »
So I have been kicking around how to put this out there. I didn't just want to rant but make this somewhat constructive and it needs to be said.

We have a lot of new people on here and they need to understand how we do things.  The first thing is that if you bring someone to an event you are responsible for them and their actions directly reflect on you. When we are at events it's totally chill and we (for the most part) get along or just stay away from people we don't want to hang out with. We don't come into these events with an aggressive mindset. We are pretty much one big dysfunctional family of like minded individuals who just want to have a good time.

With this being said

This last weekend at OC there were a group of us hanging out around the fire chilling, eating, drinking, & cutting it up. There was a newer member I hadn't met before and his buddy who were hanging out with us. When they arrived I noticed them polishing off a 5th of whiskey. Well the new guys were getting some flak for just being new guys and were taking it pretty good. But tensions did seem to rise early and they were diffused and we continued to chill.

So as the night progressed I got up to toss some wood on the fire and give FM1 a little brotherly hug. Well the friend kinda grabbed me from the back and I got him off then turned around to find him holding a knife in an attack position about a foot or so from me. This wasn't a friendly playful type of situation. This wasn't a little pocket knife this was 6+" hunting knife. Once I saw this I told the guy "what the fuck you doing? we're just chilling here" turned around grabbed Amy and headed to the trailer extracting myself from a situation that was not going to end well for anyone.  I have no clue what happened after that.

This has had me pissed off ever since and has no place at any NCKA event. I can keep going but this is just pissing me off even more writing this.

Keep your friends in check!

General Talk / California Canoe and Kayak Fishing Team
« on: August 27, 2015, 04:39:55 PM »
Hey Everyone,

I wanted to announce that CCK has stepped up their game in regards to being dedicated to kayak angling in Norhtern California. Over the next week or so I will be announcing the new CCK Hobie Fishing Team members. These guys will not only be fishing team members but licensed guides for CCK and will be providing private guided trips through CCK.

Well let's start by asking Jason - Str8FiSHiN to please stand up.

Jason has been selected and has accepted to join the CCK Team and will be an awesome Ambasador spreading the love/madness to everyone he takes out on the water. Not to mention he will put people on quality fish.

Jason's Bio

I first got into fishing as a teenager and primarily fished from the banks of lakes, reservoirs, and the CA Delta.  In 2012, I got into kayak fishing and fell in love with ocean fishing. Most of my kayak fishing experience comes from spending a lot of time on the water and learning from some the best. In addition to chasing big fish, I enjoy clamming, crabbing, and hunting using my Hobie kayak.  Let's go kayak fishing!

Welcome to the team Jason

Pay It Forward / Kicking Cancer ASS!!!

I just got off the phone with my sister. She was waiting to hear back on the results from her last surgery and biopsy. The doctor told
Her that they were able to remove the tumor that was coming back aggressive and she is in the clear. I'm sitting here crying hearing this. She now goes into a maintenance phase. She had me so scared when before she told me the good news I could tell she was crying.

Thank god she did it.

She will still be going though with the vow renewal on 8/1 while my auntie is still able to attend.

Thank you all who donated and all that have sent prayers. The power of prayer, the positive messages and vibes are so strong.

Thank you all.
