I havae a number of lighter spin surf rods, my working quiver more or less.  And a few heavier Striper only rods. I found two switch hitters, light enough  for perch but beefy enough for stripers, halibut and throwing heavier lures.

Either of these rods would be best paired with a 3500 or 4000 sized reel.  Both are $300+ rods as new, I would sell the Fenwick for $150 or the Lami for $185.  Both rods are like new and have great action.

Anyone have interest in crab snares?  For casting?  I recently acquired a bunch of fishinig equipment amongst which are snare bodies.  I'll complete the snare constructions if there's interest out there keeping only a couple for myself.  Crabs are not very available from the surf in Monterey Bay....

If so, what is a fair price for them?  If there's enough interest via NCKA, I'll construct.  I have about 20 of them.

Steve Carson AKA "Senor Tuna" is the director of Penn Fishing Univeristy ad has been so for over 20 years.  These are recc's that he sent to me this week (everything is Penn of course, but a great genral guide to rod and reel size and line strengths.

1. 20-25 POUND RIG

Reel- PENN Fathom star drag FTHII15SD or FTHII12SD

Rod- Conventional 7 to 8-feet, rated for 10-25 or 12-30 pound lines. Ex: PENN CARWCIII1025C80

Applications- Finesse live bait for school size bluefin & yellowfin tuna

2. 30-POUND RIG

Ugliest Raptor I've ever seen "just needs a paint job"  but Its got the garmin FF and the custom Raptor bait tank with pump, the wheels etc.  Bet you could talk the guy down just by  gagging a little bit when you talk to him.  A stiff power wash might do the trick on this pony.
