This is just a simple Fish N Chill not tournament no timelines no rules. Come and go as you please, fish when you want, and have fun. We will do a potluck Saturday eve for anyone who wants to participate.

I will be smoking up some pork bellies for everyone and I’m sure some other stuff too.

If you want to camp reserve your sites soon. I will be working on getting a shore front site so if you don’t you can leave your yak on shore in my site.

Fishing should be on fire at this time the way the weather is trending this year. I’ve already been finding crappie so that’s a great sign.

Changed the dates so it does not on same date as AOTY at Berry

General Talk / Santa Rosa - place to stay
« on: October 29, 2019, 03:56:19 PM »

My wife is being requested to support the Kincade Fire with the Sonoma County OES but there is no place available to stay. She will likely be working nights and need a place to sleep during the day.

Is there anyone in Santa Rosa that might have the ability to help out?

Thanks in advance

Here is a direct link to purchase tickets without going through FB

Here are the rules and details for the event.

Our events will be less competition based and more cause based. A fun and friendly competition to raise funds for the cause.
They will be CADFW permitted multi species events.
You will be challenged to Catch, Photo, & Release (CPR) a total of 8 species. (Spotted Bass, Smallmouth Bass/SMB, Largemouth Bass/LMB, Rainbow Trout, Brown Trout, Crappie, Bluegill, & Catfish)
You will not be required to measure or weigh any fish. Just snap a clear pic of you, your event identifier, and the fish for us to confirm the fish species. #fishselfie
If having trouble identifying a fish just CPR the fish and we will assist with ID if needed.
We will be logging the time you check in.
Any CADFW regulation infraction will be cause for immediate disqualification
This is a NO FIN FISH LIVE BAIT body of water per CADFW.
Any live bait that doesn’t swim is allowed
Poor sportsmanship will not be tolerated and will be cause for immediate disqualification
Participants shall respect one another at all times
Safe boating is required at all times.
Every person on the water is required to wear a Coast Guard Approved PFD at all times. (motor boats while under power)(kayaks, SUP, float tubes, and canoes always)
All participant fishing must stop by ‪7:30pm‬ the night prior to event start.
Morning Check-in will be between ‪6:00am - 8:30am‬ near the boat ramp. (no check- ins after ‪8:30am‬)
All participants must check-in before launching or fishing.
Every participant will be given an identifier that needs to be in every pic being submitted.
Launching for the event will be ‪at 7:00am‬
Ending check-in will be open from 1:00pm to 3:00pm‬ at the same place morning check-in was located
All participants must be off the water by 2pm. Please do not be late on this time.
Every participant must check-in whether you caught fish or not. This is for safety reasons so please, please, please check-in before leaving.
If you have to leave before check-in times, please go to the event directors campsite and let them know (directors site number will be provided during morning check in).
When checking in, you will be allowed to pick a playing card for every verified species you CPR. (You will not see the cards you’ve drawn).
If you were not able to catch enough species to pull at least 5 cards, you can purchase additional cards for $35.00 each up to a total of 4 cards.
Every participant will be able to draw one playing card for paid entry.
There will be one joker in the deck that will be the “WILD CARD”.
To break any ties the winner will be the first person to have checked in for the day.
Once we have everyone checked in, we will go through and identify the winning hands for the event.
Awards ceremony
The awards ceremony will take place at the event directors campsite or another area within campground that will be designated (TBD) and will begin at 4:30pm.
We will be awarding the top 3 five card poker hands.
This does not mean that if you do not have 5 cards you are excluded from having a chance to win (example: you only have 3 cards and they are 3 aces and it’s the best hand. Well that would make you the WINNER).
Prizes TBD but will be totally worth coming.
We will be holding a  raffle immediately following the awards.
Tickets will be $1.00 each and you must be present to win these prizes.
After the ticket raffle, we will do a separate random number generated drawing for a 2019 Hobie Outback kayak  (Value $3100). Entries for the kayak drawing will be $20 each. You may use PayPal to purchase drawing entries for the kayak https://paypal.me/pools/c/8hgWTgxHmr
Drawing for the kayak will be hosted on Facebook Live following ticket raffle.
You will not have to be present to win the kayak.
If not present at the time of raffle we will ship the kayak to the winner. If winner can use friends and family express to receive kayak that would be preferred, but not necessary.

I just sent Rob two boxes of 30 each 6.5 inch Big Hammer Swimbaits for the raffle. Pearl and Calico Hunter. I threw in 5 , 4 oz red shad head jigs as well. Cheers.

Thanks for the support Craig

Wanted to make sure everyone is signing up through the eventbrite link. If you are considering participating in the event please follow this link. We are also looking to do a meal for everyone so if you are interested in this please buy a food ticket as well.

Kind of a bummer that this event is conflicting with the annual Open Shelter event on the same weekend.  Were there no other weekends to host it?  I guess I'll send a donation to one and and attend the other.

We actually had to change the dates due to NID drawing down the lake by feet a day starting Sept 16. So this is the best weekend. I hate conflicting with others events but we either went with this day or scrapped it.
