Yep bonding to PE is a tough one..... Joe thanks for the tip with the peregard..... ordered as it looks like it may be a good as I can do.... I try to be carefull but with may tank of a yak but some of the launches I frequent the hull takes a beating.   My old town fully loaded seems to be in the 150 lb range maybe even more..... while I can lift 150 still (not sure how much longer) when it is shaped in a 12 foot  cigar with poles tackle etc it is a bit much.... glad to see some can keep their hulls in good shape but it is not happening for me.

Last month a car cut into my lane on the highway and I tried to manuever out of their way (nearly hit me) and my 2" harbor freight strap broke.... long story short my tail patch is pretty much gone now and also wore away some of the pe..... still water tight and will be repaired shortly.... was glad I had a very heavy thick yak at that time till I had to unload it at home.  I guess two years is too much to ask of a strap.... will be replaceing more frequently and checking more often.... lesson learned.

Hi all,
Good luck and will be watching for you report.... went yesterday and in 3 hours of throwing  around dunphy anchorage and to belvedere and spinaker (my arm is sore) one 3" herring.... lots of eggs on the eel grass though.

If you find them I will be out again soon.

Glad you and wife are good.... and the cell phones.   Sorry you lost gear.... it seem that with me this always occurs after or during a skunk.... make me remember it all the more and also makes me reconsider all of my safety gear and proceedures.  Thanks for the sharing of a story with a good ending (except the skunk and lost gear).

I would love to join you next year as I love lobster and know nothing about that fishery.

Hi All,
Love the bugs near tahoe..... get them also at Lake Folsom and my favorite meal is Stampede Kokes and crawdads with a small steak... and either a ripping IPA or a glass of cab.     I think the ones I have got are called signal crays..... I have never gotten them any where else so nothing to compare them to.  Going in three weeks for 4 days and can hardly wait.
