I'm planning to hit Linda Mar in the morning 7ish if anyone wants to join. Will be looking for lings and rockfish, but I'll bring an couple WMAs in case there is any bird action in close for salmon. Company is welcome.

I've got one of the flexfold round folding crab traps for sale if anyone is interested. On Clist for $50, but definitely an NCKA discount.

Three doors with escape rings. 32" diameter x 13" tall when ready to fish and 17" around and 2 " tall when folded up.

For Sale / 7mm freediving/spearfishing wetsuit

Medium 7mm Seac Sea-Royal HD free diving and spearfishing wet suit for $150 -- never worn top and long john bottoms have been on one dive. Suit is just too small for me. Size chart says 5'6" - 5'8" and 149-169. I'm 5'6" and 155. Feels like it would probably fit someone in their small size range 5'4" - 5'6" Weight 132 - 152lbs.

General Fishing Tips / Promar 102W

So I was rigging up a couple new promar 102Ws to go with the Danielsons I have and had a question - where is the rotten cotton on the promars? The danielsons have it on one of the escape rings, but I dont see what is supposed to rot away on the promar except maybe those flimsy clips to keep it closed. Are these truly California compliant out of the box?

BTW - how much weight does everyone add to keep them from walking? I've got some extra 3-4lb scuba weights around and was going to try one in each. Sound like enough?

For Sale / Garmin Echo basemount -- free

I finally got around to removing the round Garmin base that the prior owner had installed -- anybody need a spare? It's just the round base that gets bolted to the boat -- not the upper half that connects to the fish finder itself. I'm in SF if anyone local wants it or we can figure out a hook up.

Anything happening lately at the Alameda rock wall? I have to be in Oakland for work Friday morning and was thinking of bringing gear to try it in the afternoon. I'll keep an eye on the wind forecast, but was wondering if anything is biting around there these days.

Used, 2 person Jackson big tuna tandem kayak with trailer. paddles, fishfinder, anchor, lifevests, 2 folding seats, docking lines, livewell, and even a motor 50lb thrust Minkota. Hitch is 2 inch ball type. Trailer has working lights and title. Cosmetic scrapes but watertight and floats like a fat lady in a saltpond. Check it out. I'm in American Canyon. Hookups and Fishing Reports (Viewable by Public) / dungies/sand crabs

Been seeing a lot of dungies in the edge of the surfline when going out surfing at OB lately -- mostly females and shorts, but one last night would have been a keeper. It seems like they're showing up earlier and in greater numbers this year or maybe its just wishful thinking for a good season coming up.

There's also a crazy number of sand crabs out there as well. For weeks now they've been so thick just inside the surfline that it's painful on the feet to walk out to surf. It's like a 4' wide band of them in the sand. Way more than I've ever noticed in a decade or so of surfing OB.

Didn't someone post that they're edible -- corn starched and deep fried? It'd be easy to get a really big meal of them, but they just don't look appetizing. But if anyone's interested they're out there.

Kayak Diving and Spearfishing / Sonoma coast 10/12

Anyone interested in a shore dive hook-up this saturday morning? I'm thinking Fort Ross to Salt Point region -- where ever conditions look the best. I would be driving up from SF if anyone wants to carpool we could save on gas. I'm experienced, typically dive 30' and under and will be targeting both fish and abs. Anyone game?
