So, what do you all bring for boat lunch?

I've brought everything from leftovers (chicken thighs are nice, and have handles), sandwiches, Vienna sausages.  Last weekend fishing with JewLion, he brought a burrito....a San Diego Burrito....and I thought, dang, that might be the perfect food.

What do you all bring?

Thinking I might hit up Adalberto's on Friday for a Saturday morning burrito.

Currently I buy or make some sort of sandwich, not too fancy about it.  If I had leftover pizza, even better than an sandwich!  But going back to doing the keto diet soon, and will go back to cheese and no-sugar beef jerky. A banana is the perfect snack on the water  :smt003

I'm on the keto lifestyle, so its cheese, protein bars and shakes. Sometimes home made jerky sticks and some nuts.

Cool thread!
I used to have bad sea sickness so didn’t bring any food and was completely trashed after a day otw.

Now I take a Cliff energy bar and two chocolate caramel squares (I hide them in the garage so my wife doesn’t eat them; don’t tell her). For a long day I’d also bring a bagel and eat it with the chocolate.
On one of my trips I had a crisp & sweet & cold apple. It was heavenly.
But I’m too utilitarian to bother.

interesting.  yah, I don't get sea sickness, but, typically I need to get up so early, I don't eat - just too early - then, after you're effectively fasting - it's hard to eat.  So some days, i don't want any food, others, I'm starving.  So the lunch is either eaten on the boat, or in the car on the drive home.

I'm a big leftover pizza fan, sandwiches too. Chet on this forum turned me onto bringing a large thermos of piping hot water and Ramen when on the boat. Super easy and satisfying

Scotty gave me some peppered smoked salmon at Albion from Santa Rosa seafood. Best smoked salmon I’ve ever had.

I also favor bananas, but cuties/clementines are nice for a bit extra sugar.

I also like cheeze-its or chips - some carbs go a long way to tame hunger.

If it's cold outside, I will usually bring a thermos of coffee too, but if it's hot, just water.

omg those round PBJ with no crust? lol, I used to buy those for my daughter.  But a darn good idea, I love peanut butter and a good PBJ.

lots' of great ideas folks, thanks for sharing.

regarding bananas, dang, I love them, on every bike ride, backpack, hike etc I do...but can't get past the superstition, if i bring them, they stay in the car, either eat before launch or on the drive home.

Smoked Salmon...sounds awesome, waiting to catch my first salmon

Beef jerky sounds great, I need to get he dehydrator out and make some

regarding water, I've been bringing a liter with me on the boat.  When it's cool out, that sorta works, but when it's warm, I get dehydrated.  I should probably bring 2-3L.  I've thought about attaching my platypus to my seat, and just sucking on that all day (2L) but haven't done it yet - maybe Saturday.

Cheeze its sound really good to, carbs, flavor, and salt.

may need to stop at Costco today for some PBJ's and a big ol box of Cheeze its

my plan for tomorrow:
1L water and my platypus (2-3L)
small container of salted nuts
PBJ (using homemade Jalapeno jelly)
Adalbertos Machaca or Carne Asada burrito, cut in half - half for the boat, half for the drive home...just can't get it out of my mind.
if I'm really on my game, I'll buy a dozen donuts, bring them on the boat in a dry bag - sounds like we'll have  a good crowd at Doran - find me on the water and get a donut.
Diet Coke for the boat

thanks for all the good tips guys.

im not huge on the banana superstition anymore but I like to give people a hard time sometimes.

-if you eat a banana, you are still "bringing" a banana on the boat  :smt005
