Hey Boogie.  Nice dodo!!!

I'm curious about your AI for fishing.

Do you use your sail to troll?

Do the amas or the sail get in the way when fighting or landing fish?

aloha Cucke. yes i use the sail to troll. i also use the sail to haul ass to the fishing grounds. we have to paddle about 2 miles out for mahi and ono its usally windy and rough. on my ok prowler 15 its much harder to get out.  on the hobie AI we nuke out under full sail it takes about 1/2 hour we then furl down the sail to about 1-3 meters depending on the wind and troll. these things have been clocked in at 11 knots. one time i had a fish go around the sail. on the pass the pole around i almost dropped it. the amas and akas can collapse in the water. big fish we will colapse one side and haul em in. dude these things rock. get one. you will absolutely love it. check www.hobie.com for more info. they have a forum that has a ton of info.  if you ever want to fish hawaii on one of these things give me a shout i will hook you up.
