I also have a few of the ones suggested by 3$j.  They have served us well.  They are inexpensive and easy to store.  Two of the three I cut the ends and put a short length of coat hanger as a project with my friend, but doesn't really seem necessary.  We also made up a bunch of 3-4 inch coated wire leaders.  I would suggest getting one of the shorter ones.  Hard to control out to far and easier to get to the hook.

I want the hullaports.   Where are you?

Man Jose. Across Street from Booksin Elementary

One hullaport left. Artie snagged one last night

Don't think I can make it down from Petaluma.  Thanks, great deal, but I'll have to pass.

Nice! What’s the address?

884 Bodega Ave #3, Petaluma.

I hope they will do live bait.  Grass, ghost shrimp and even pile worms.  And do bullhead even exist any more?  It's been very hit or miss over there the last couple years.

Not sure how the bass fishing is at Whiskeytown.  The trophys are deep this time of year.  Brandy Creek is nice.  Not sure if it survived the fire.

Clark Springs is a nice day use area on the lake with a boat launch.  Also Lewiston Lake, near were you are staying, comes right off the bottom of Trinity Lake Dam. The water is very cold and trout can be caught year round.

The rock piles are about 5 miles north of Trinity Center at the far north part of the lake.  There are several dirt access roads where you can park right on the edge of the lake.  Near Buckeye Creek Road.  It's a magical place.

Thanks again.  Pictured is my son ColtonCrum, also a member.  He caught both fish in about 15' of water near the bridge.  The morning outgoing was the slow end of the tide and we arrived on the the High tide.  We paddled past the monument for sailors lost at sea out to the bridge and drifted back with frozen herring on a drift rig.  He was set on using the bait.  I had a swim bait and a few jigs, but started with the bait since Colton had tied 2 leaders for each of us the night before.  He caught the larger fish within the first 5 minutes after starting our first drift, so bait it was.  He also got a large red crab and I scratched up a bullhead.

Thanks Crash and Doug!  We went to Mad River Beach last night and got into some Red Tails.  We are heading to Eureka now for dinner and plan to check out the waterfront and hit it in the morning.  Strong tides this week, but hope to get a couple drifts in.  We are paddling our Tridents.
