I love my heavy barge just not as much as my Ai
Currently mounting a 2.5 hp outboard on it as a Freind has the same yak he doesn’t row / travel on the water nearly as far as I do regardless witch yak I’m on so to get him out of the same 3 coves I mounting my outboard once he try’s it he’ll probably do the same
Foot pedaled for stearing  got a bicycle cable to move the throttle it’s coming together nicely for you purests out the this is a fishing machine

I already have a modified e motor I mount that 2 pins takes like half a minute also have a rudder system that clips in the same way
It’s been food to me but ya it’s a beast that said a stabile beast it’s done good by me in the ocean And the lakes

Enjoy it
If you wan I can shoot you some pod of how I rigged the e motor and rudder

General Talk / Re: Sleepy while driving
« on: May 02, 2021, 08:32:03 AM »
Like fishing there were several ways todo it driving 110 miles approximately each way five days awesome yes 1100miles a week I use the bump method bump bump bump bump you turn one way bumppppppp you turn the other the real problem is if someone stops

Or you can’t try eating something or chewing gum stoping and walking
Or getting out to get a snack roll down the windows and play the radio at full volume or turn the ac all the way up

All of this works sometimes what works all the time sleeping
Even if your going to miss an appointment or dinner sleeping will save yourlife

To balance or not to balance
To swing to the fences or reel like a mad dog
What’s your method to catch them sturgeon?
I recently purchased a very nice balance for around fifty bucks
But I haven’t had a chance to use it every time I plan on heading out something comes up I was going to pick up another one but have not had the time so before I did I figured I would ask the sturgeon gods out there what works for them

We used to get the surgeon off the transom wile docked
Then they chased all the boats out of there T&O marina was on the far side used to take a ding across walk ove and eat on credit for a week before paying same restaurant former owner different name the water way has suffered much
The river course was change a few times  among other thing that slowed down the current witch helped silt it in in the 80s the government decided they wanted everyone out hopping to lure fancy restaurants and shop
San Jose wanted bay waters
They got it
the cost they were supposed to manage a flood control system they didn’t it cost my brother and I about a million each in damages due to flooding

The whales thing definitely for real
I was at moss last year and I had one following me when I turned it turn several times I think it was just checking me out
But it could have easily gotten tangled in my rig
I was fascinated by its actions and quite enjoyed it

Gearing Up and Rigging Up / Re: Kayak mount on a popup trailer

The mounts look good did you have any problem with the insulation ?
Did you add any material to help support the bars from the inside ?
I’m not worried about leaking I have a matierial to handle that.
It looks like you have perhaps the same trailer as the one I picked up mine being a 99 Starcraft starflyerg
Or at least made the same way same small wheels same exterior and
Lites excitra  has
Same technology or structure nice little camper very nice for five hundred bucks
I may put biter wheels on it if I can without to much effort

How did it work out for you

I want to haul an ai on my popup
