General Talk / Woohooo!!!!
« on: September 19, 2012, 10:31:25 AM »
Most of you probably don't know that my wife is pregnant with our second child. Yesterday we got to go in for the big ultrasound. We decided to bring Aubrey with us so she could see her little brother or sister and hear his/her heartbeat. She got so excited when she got to hear it she was practically doing somersaults in my lap.

I'll have to admit that I was sure it was going to be a girl. I can't even tell you how happy I am to even the playing field in my house. Instead of a 3:1 ratio it's going to be 2:2

It's a boy!!!  :beer3  :groupwave :blob7:

It's amazing how much more real it feels for the whole family right now. Aubrey hugged her Mommies belly last night and kissed it and said good night to her little brother. I can't wait to meet my little man  :smt004

General Talk / 6 pack boat out of SC or HMB?
« on: July 26, 2012, 09:32:48 AM »
My friend wants to get her boyfriend out on a 6 pack charter boat but doesn't know of any and neither do I. I need a recommendation for a 6 pack charter boat our of either Santa Cruz or HMB.

Thanks

I'll be heading out of the SC harbor tomorrow morning if conditions permit. I'll plan to launch at dawn but I always say that and it rarely actually happens. Look for me on 69 if you decide to paddle out.

Kayak Diving and Spearfishing / GoPro Battery Life
« on: May 08, 2012, 09:38:56 AM »
I know this should probably be posted in another forum but I think the divers on this board use gopros more than anybody else.

What is the average On time for your gopro battery? Mine only seems to last between 1-2 hours and that's not with it filming the whole time. Just being turned on.

Feedback?

Thanks guys,

Places to Launch and Camp / Camping at Lake San Antonio
« on: May 03, 2012, 11:23:13 AM »
Hi All,

I really want to take the family camping this year and san antonio seems like a good option. I'd love to hear feedback from people who have camped there in the past. Looks like there is camping on the north and south shores. Is either of these better than the other and why?

Thanks

I'm so glad this got done before opening day.

Thank Brian Sabean for not being a money grubbing lame brain!!!  :smt006

With the new acquisitions we've made in the off season and Posey/Wilson being healthy I'm liking our chances at winning the west.

Go Giants!!!!

Hey Guys and Gals,

So I have the day off work tomorrow and really really need to get my yak wet. My original plan was to hit San Pablo Dam but a fellow NCKAr was nice enough to give me a heads up on the conditions which are not stellar.

If YOU were going to hit up a bay area lake tomorrow and wanted to catch giant trout where would you go?

Somebody recommended Shadow Cliffs as it does not get very muddy. I've never been there but am totally into the idea of trying someplace new.

I contacted the guys at Dell Valle and they say the water is not quite a muddy mess yet but the fishing has not been very good at all.

I am also considering trying the Quarry which I have also never been to. Any input would be most welcome.

Thanks

It's my birthday on Wednesday and I'm already taking the day off work. I'm considering a trip up there if the forecast looks like it won't absolutely dump. I don't mind a little rain.

I won't decide for sure until Tuesday evening. I'll post back up when I've made my decision. Company extremely welcome.
