Have not been crabbing for a while now because I hadn't had time and the crabbing at Doran was pretty slow the last few times I went. Anyone having any luck? Just asking.

Welcome. We probably crossed path at Bodega on the opener. I'm from Marin, San Rafael, as well and go to Doran to Crab as much as mission control (wife) will let me.

Nice job and thanks for the update. I've always wanted to try HMB but Doran is so easy, but has not been good crabbing this year.

Let us know where and how you did. I usually go to Doran, but it has been slow there this year. Started out OK for the opener and went down hill until just recently. About two weeks ago I got eight Dungies. Not big, but legal. Would have limited if I kept the females, which was also larger than the males I kept.

Found this solution on the net , whip raw eggs and use funnel to put Into an empty beverage container with a screw on cap. Wish I would have known this many years ago.

Try Red Triangle Spearfishing. They don't cary a mount mask, but they used to have a mount piece for masks. You can find mount masks on Amazon for a wide range of prices but it's always a gamble to know if a mask is going to fit when you buy it online. I did get a $15 mask with a GoPro mount on Amazon and it did fit my face and I liked it until it got stolen out of my kayak.

Thanks. This was a great event for me last year, but looks like I may not make it this year competing or not. STill going to try and make it out for part of the day if possible.
