I'd say that tape is suspect.  Welcome to the club  :smt003  :smt006  :smt005

In construction, thats 39-7/8".  Sorry Eddie, but not quite 40 yet.
And to agree with Al, that tape looks suspicious.  The first 1/2" looks smaller than 1/2" to the 1" mark.  So that makes your fish 39-3/4".  Sorry buddy.  Love you but not quite the club yet...

Wanna fish Monday???   :smt003 :smt004

Kevin

I have lots of love for you my friend, but am gonna side with Kevin, 39 and 7/8ths isn’t 40

Good luck Eddie! Hope we can fish soon, it’s been too long.
Yes sir!  The bait made it through the night despite the nasty green dirty water in the the well.  Tides turning, sardines in the bay.  Glassy, very few boats and yaks.  Waiting on that zzzzzzzz…. :smt007 :smt006

Well I was thinking of getting a new paddle but have needed new cradles for longer. Just ordered a set based on all you all's recommendation. I'm looking forward to being secure and scuff free.

I usually add a bow and stern tie down as well, any of you guys using this rack do this as an extra precaution or is it overkill?
I've never bow and sterned but I think about it... :smt006

I love my lock rack foevah’ for now.  Going on 2 plus years cartopping for storage.  Yak is 23” wide and it fits snuggly between.  I do have to lock it at the widest points in the front with one width buttonhole to spare.   :smt006

How long does it take to clean the lures?
It has settings from 90 sec. to 3 minutes.  I started low to see if any damage would occur...paint peeling...but no such reaction.  I crank it up to more minutes if I'm not satisfied with the bling factor. :smt006

I've got one that we use for cleaning bicycle chains, which means it is in near constant use around here. Work amazing. Now I'm gonna toss all those spoons and flashers in it!
Dats da way!

I’m claiming it does remove rust.  Mostly wanted to see if  it would make the plating on the spoon perfect but it did not though I’m satisfied with the split rings and hooks all buzzed to near new…
