I've been interested in the vibe shearwater. Most reviews seem to be inland or in salt flats in the south east. Anyone locally have one and take it out on monterey bay or the along the coast? Trying to see how it does in rougher water.

Too high seating height for me. Nice kayak tho. I like being closer to the water .

On the Ocean all the time on my Vibe Shearwater 125. It handles it great. Have about 5 other buddies how have the Shearwater as well. All impressed! Biggest buddy is 6'4" over 200lbs and slays salmon and rock fish!

Good to know. Thank you. I had a vibe seaghost and now have a hoodoo tempest pedal drive which I like. But I think the shearwater is an upgrade
