Capitola Art and Wine Festival is on the 14th and I usually help set up Amadeo Bachar's booth with him.

Growing up in Ukiah, back in my high school days. My brother, friend and I would fish squawk fish for $$. We would go to Longs Drugs and pull money out of a bag so we could get money for beer and chew. 😆

Thanks for the info. I camped there Friday-Sunday. We got a spot next to the lake set up our own little floating island. I took my paddle board and hobie with me. Had a pretty good time with the family and inlaws. Fishing was tough but I also didn't try too hard. I did manager a big small mouth. I really just wanted the kids and family to have a good time. It was a pretty clean place.

Has anyone ever camped there? Can you launch your personal kayak or paddle boards? Inspection/launch fee? Any info would be appreciated thanks.

Not much bait around here in SC and south swells keep fish lock jaw here. Monterey would be better, it's more protected from a south swell. Plus there might be squid around the Aquarium still.

Like Al said, just waiting for the weather to get better. I'm planning on fishing a little more down in Monterey this year. But Capitola bite should be turning on soon and it will be less pressure this year due to no boat rentals.
