Greetings!

I am entirely new to the forum, kayaking, kayak fishing and whatever else comes with this territory! I hope that, through joining the forum, I will educate myself on the hobby, make some connections with local enthusiasts, and to make an informed decision as to if Kayak angling is the right choice for me!

I look forward to meeting you folks, digitally, and on the waters!

Best,
Andrew

what comes with this "territory" is an addiction with no known cure. except to sit on top a floating piece of plastic ghetto'd out to find fish, a community of like minded people who are also addicted and a great bunch of folks. They will teach you a lot, cap on you on the water during an event, and have a good time overall.

I miss y'all!

Welcome!  There's  an area in the San Joaquin Delta known as Five Fingers, always looked fishy to me, though I think it's a ways from anywhere you could launch.  Last time I was there was back before I got into this madness.

Yep, that’s the perfect place to spend some time learning the terms and getting an idea of how the group rolls. A trove of info in the archives - like AB wrote: TSFIYF

Great, thanks! I'm glad there's a search function for acronyms and slang, I guess I get to learn a new language on these forums!
