Neoprene neck for comfort.  Not much water seeps in if you tumble.  Between medium and large?  I'm 5'8 180.  I'm in a medium and my layers are thin but multiplied when cold.  I started with a large and it was too baggy for my stylish needs.  It does not get frigid here.  Trick is keeping your feet warm.  Sometimes 2 pairs of wool socks and waterproof socks on top of those.  Make sure your footwear does not constrict your feet.  My suit is the pro angler something gore tex... :smt006

Denise and I had an absolutely wonderful time visiting with so many of you all.  Frank-n-Bunny, John-n-Marcia, Shawn-n-Jauncy (sp?) Al, Al, and his other brother Al!  (So easy to remember names that way!)  Plus the cast of thousands at Al's camp too!  The hospitality was off the charts as I wandered around the campground looking for familiar faces or someone to recognize me.

I didn't take many photos, but I got this one of John and Al and another of the oysters John gifted us at the fire ring.  Al provided the freshest homegrown fruit and I brought out the beers.
I missed ya' man!  You're on my "meet and greet" A list.  Hopefully next year... :smt006

Great person.  Have not seen him for years, as I don’t seem to fish that area much anymore.   Used to launch my 14 Valco there for short run.   Now with a 21’ I can launch cheaper at Richmond, saves $26 bridge toll.

Loch lomond is 40 bucks now!
Makes me glad I've got dry storage there, so launching included in monthly fee
Last time I checked with Pat, kayak launch is free and you can use the hose as well.  Gotta watch the tides though and it's a shlep to the channel.

I spent a lot of time in that shop, since 2000 when i moved back to marin. I worked near the civic center and would fish on lunch off the levee after grabbing a sandwich or get bait from him and make a quick sturgeon run. Always had to spend a few minutes getting a fishing report.  He could be a surly guy but had a heart of gold.

Years ago Wizard and I ( long time local marin fisher) were headed out in his boat for sturgeon, after getting bait Wizard's boat wouldn't restart. Keith didnt even hestitate, just said, "what are you standing around for? take my boat and go catch some sturgeon."

My daughter was probably 3ish, when we came in and he saw she was fascinated by Nasty and Nasty Jr sitting on the bait tanks.  He picked her up, put a grass shrimp in her little fingers and helped her to feed Nasty. Never failed to ask about her after that when i'd visit.

I only got to fish with him once. on his boat.  He and Rico (who did many of the drawings in the shop and turns out is a neighbor) invited me out, just a few days after I was weight bearing after breaking my pelvis.
They spent the entire afternoon razzing the new, young guy that could barely get in the boat.  We caught stripers off rocks inon the channel side I didn't even know were there, and trolled the brickyard for more.

The guy was a legend who did an amazing amount for our fishery and bay, and had an impact on a lot of young guys like me.

he will be missed.
Thanks for that Steve.  See ya' on da' wattah'...

I'd go in there asking for 6 ghost shrimp and he'd reply 6 dozen?

Sad, I had only gone once to his shop for bait, probably 10 years ago now.  I got there 5 mins before closing and got a tongue lashing for making him get off late  :smt005 Rest in peace Keith
That's the stuff... :smt005
