Safety First / Re: Fisherman's Life video - No bueno
« on: April 06, 2018, 11:43:47 PM »
I've watched tons of Fisherman's Life videos, and enjoyed them thoroughly. The content, editing, and his chill personality make for extremely easy, enjoyable viewing, but I, too, was surprised to see him out at PP without "requisite gear." Not sure why he chose to go out the way he did, however, to his credit, he did check on the wind and swell before going out, and luckily conditions stayed true to the forecast.

This spring will be my first time out in the great salt and I've already 'loaded up' on safety equipment that was recommended by anglers on this site. Hopefully, Matts will continue to entertain with his cool videos, but anglers will read and follow the advice found on these pages.

Gearing Up and Rigging Up / Storing Hobie Outback
« on: March 04, 2018, 11:07:20 AM »
Hi Everyone- macha here.  Just purchased an Outback and am searching for best way to store it in my garage.  Wife thinks hanging it over the cars is best option, but I’m concerned about bowing over time.  Is it okay to just keep kayak on it’s side? I live in the bay where it’s neither too hot nor cold.  Thx for any help you can provide.  I’m new to the sport and can’t wait to get out very soon.  M

Hi everyone - I'm new here and to the sport.  I'm on the verge of buying a kayak, and can't wait to meet other members for trips out. Cheers! Macha
