I made a similar post and got similar replies. I am new to the site and am also looking to partner for safety and companionship. I have my own Yak and a cartop carrier for two. I live in Belmont and Fish on the weekends (mostly) as well. I am fairly new to paddling, but have alot of fishing experience. I have recently acquired a sit on top Kayak rigged for fishing. I have limited experience paddling but vast experience fishing the Bay and Coast. I live on the Peninsula and wish to fish from Monterey to Bodega and the Bay as well. I fish; Salmon, Ling, Cabs, Halibut, Bass,WSB and Sturgeon, having done so from a power boat for 30 years. I am intent on adapting my experience to near-shore fishing and recognize the need to share the experience with others for safety and companionship. If you live in the RWS area, I am looking for a paddling partner and I live in Belmont. I am thinking; Halibut/Oyster Point this weekend; close in, due to the potential for wind. In the morning there will be light wind and the wind will pick up at one o'clock as it always does on the bay. I only recently acquired my own Yak, have limited past exp. but know the ropes. I am looking to partner for safety and company. I am a very skilled fisherman. I have been a boater for 25 years.
