Kayaks / Need advice on a shorter yak
« on: March 18, 2014, 08:18:21 PM »
Hello Brothers, I have paddled the same boat for about 12 years now. It is a 14 ft 6 inch cobra touring model. Life has taken a turn and I need to swap it or  sell it and buy a shorter boat that does not exceed 10.5 feet. Any advice on a model and info about the difference in performance will be appreciated. thanks  :smt003

Brothers I am looking for a nice campground near Monterey, Being new to the central coast I need some help, I am looking for camping sites  on the lake/river side, not looking to take a shuttle to the water. My son has been going to Mcswain but dam that's a long drive . There are some nice sites right on the water that we launch or inflatable or yak from .  Fishing is a must or we do not go. I am not one to go just sit in the woods , I taught my son that we go fishing camping there just saves driving  back . :smt003

Sin Coast brought up an idea to have a NCKA golf tournament .I have been in course management for years and am currently working at Monterey pines golf course.I am not managing at this point but am willing to set it up and run it if we want to have one.  I'm not sure of protocol but If that's cool with the powers that be.Lets get a roll call and depending on how many players want to play we can decide on a format like 2 man or four man scramble or flighted. I would guess maybe the end of September  or so. And I would like to see it Benefit a cause of the Brothers choice in some way. :dontknow:
