I always have a couple 20' NRS straps for bow and stern lines when the kayak is on the roof rack for travel. I have used one of those (shortened up) just across the torso over one shoulder to help drag the kayak up a hill. It's never fun at the end of a long day.

After reviewing all available products, I chose this model.
Just waiting for it to go on sale to order one.

Will let you know after I use it later in the rockfish season.

Looking forward to hearing how this works out.  This definitely looks more comfortable than the deer drag harness.

Another reason I like this harness is that it has several different attachment points.
I will have several photos and videos, if possible.

Dang, that looks worthy of a 3 mile RT adventure up at the Cape.

It’d beat the heck out of pulling by the handle.

I like the harness but need something solid to hold the yak off my ankles.... like a hard yoke kind of a thing.... something that works both up and down hill.

I have a strap long enough to loop over my shoulders but eventually the yak clips my backside depending on how high I hold it.

I've been thinking about buying a harness for ~1 mile launches. Maybe a piece of PVC the strap can run through with some padding on the end for downhill?
