here are some photos of the outside just to be clear about the condition. could probably be an easy fix cosmetically but its definitely not like new.

im going to take more photos tonight and post them up. i want to show the body is not perfect and the photos i took dont really capture them so rather than waste people's time i'll take photos and post them up.

This coming saturday i plan on doing a good inside and outside cleaning of the car so i can make a video as well after i clean it up.

thanks,

john

If I had the parking space I'd be all over this Jeep John. It is such a great deal bro, I'm sure it will sell fast.

Jedmo

i had this great idea of having two car / boat setups so my friends and i can go out together and find myself only using one more often than not. not long ago i looked at my little 1 bedroom apartment and just came to the conclusion i have no reason to have so much and i felt kind of burdened with so many vehicles as well.

it was perfect having one setup and i didnt know having two of each would feel like too much.

i hope the next person can enjoy them as much as we do.

Sounds like a good deal. toils you consider partial trade for a kayak?

i certainly would, i have been wanting another kayak for my wife to go paddle in as well. what do you have? we have a old scupper pro so anything like that would suit us well.

For Sale / car / boat package to sell

Hi folks,

I want to sell a car and boat together. i basically have too many vehicles and i still live in an apartment so i have decided to minimize my posessions. this setup has become my secondary car / boat setup so i think i have too many vehicles.

I put an ad up on craigslist but would be more than happy to lower the price for someone on this board:

http://sfbay.craigslist.org/pen/cto/3214676886.html

please let me know if you should have any interest. i am not in a great hurry to sell but can sell as soon as the last week of august as i am going to do one more run to sonoma with it to dive and fish.

thanks a have a nice day!

Kayak Diving and Spearfishing / Re: NEwbie, Cressi Navajo line rigging
« on: August 15, 2012, 01:04:44 PM »
here is a mini diagram.

A- connects to the tail end of the spear shaft

B- line comes up the shaft and goes out the front of the gun held on through the muzzle or by tension

C- line hooks to the line release on the speargun

D - Connects to the front end of the gun so you dont lose the shaft (bulge is a bungee to keep tension on the line, some guns have them some dont)

best rigging to get is mono line and crimps. You can get a hold of neptonics or maybe chris at seasniper can help. also some dive shops can do this as well.

i have a 10' achilles i was selling but decided to hold onto it to have a roll up boat for trips and such. its great for one maybe two people but thats it!

I had four wheel drive, but i have also never launched on a beach  so i may have made the mistake of spinning my tires to much.

i think that can just as well happen to anyone in the situation and all beaches are different as well.

thanks for the info! i'll see how i do when the time comes!

Did not see the folks at Timber Cove giving anyone a hand launching this weekend.  Everyone was on their own and it seemed easy enough if you had the right tools.  They will tow you out of the sand if you get stuck, for a price.

aah OK, thanks for the info. i have 4wd but its good to know that rescue can be had there as well!

im thinking late aug when i have 2 weeks off work i'll launch up north and try it out.

I launched there  a few months ago, stuck on the way in,got pulled out by a big blue dodge, after diving the tide was WAYYYYY out and  backed down and got stuck trying to get out ,again ,lol.,had the big blue dodge and a jeep to pull me out, i think that was the first and last time ill try to launch there.

wow thats too bad, do you have a 4x4 or was the sand just that soft?

i have launched at a few places where i basically had to have a long strap from my tow hitch down to the trailer and i manually shoved the trailer down into the water. after launching i had to pull with the vehicle far enough out so my back wheels didnt sink into the soft stuff. that was in mexico and we didnt have any help around had we needed it.

sounds like walking the inflatable in with beaching wheels might be better at timber cove. at least i have an idea of what to expect!

These are the place you can launch a zodiac to my knowledge, from south to north.

Bodega bay there's a good ramp on the inland side of doran.
Timber cove but I believe you have to let them launch it with their truck unless it's small enough to hand launch, even if you do have to hand launch it is a very short walk to the water.
Ocean cove has a ramp.
Im sure there's more and Mendocino has quite a few as well and is just north of sonoma.

Joe

thanks for the info joe!

so i guess timber cove still helps with launching which is a nice thing! i had thought they stopped launching a while back but then again i did not look much into it.

i have seen the launch at ocean cove but on really low tides that place can be hard to get into i think.

thanks!

Wardens allege the two men also high-graded abalone, meaning they knowingly harvested far more than their daily limit of three, with the intention of taking only the largest. One seized abalone measured 10¾ inches across, which is an extremely large abalone.

- so if a diver comes up with large abalone does the dfg look at them differently?
