Hookups and Fishing Reports (Viewable by Public) / Monterey Dabbin

Id like to fish Monterey Bay for Sand Dabs but not sure how deep or where to fish. I understand that a Sabiki line works great. Any advice or recommendations greatly appreciated.

Just wanted to make a post about a fun day today at Stillwater. It was fun to paddle out and enjoy the beuitful scenery. The winds threatened to push us of the water early but fortunately backed down and made the day very comfortable. The rock cod hits and catches were steady throughout the morning. I did manage a fat vermillion . I would really like to catch a ling cod but remai n lingless todate. I did manage a underling today so I guess Im getting close. It was nice to meet up with Jayd and Soulfish1 who had been on the water early but to the South. It is always nice to meet up with other NCKA members on the water.

Im thinking about going out in Monterey on Sunday 25th if the weather is not to bad. It would be nice to get out on the water and try fishing for sand dabs. Looking for advice on how to catch em. I hear out past the red bouy is a good place to start. Curious ....I believe fishing for sand dabs is open all year?

Stillwater Cove lived up to its name Sunday with very calm conditons and glassy. I have to say the fishing was a bit slow but managed to catch some blues and brown rockfish. No lings today. Im fairly new at kayack fishing but have been out half a dozen times and it gets better and better. At some point Id like to go with the gang that knows Big Sur.
